My Thanksgiving Traditions

My very favorite Thanksgiving tradition is going to my uncle's house. I love hanging out with my family, especially my cousin Shelby. I enjoy the food we make too. Usually before we eat, me and my cousins play outside. Another one of my favorite things is after the party I usually spend the night with Shelby. We always have fun.

Julius Caesar Project

For my Julius Caesar project I depicted scenes from several acts. I chose three scenes; act 2 scene 1 and 2 , and act 3 scene 2. How I chose these is I flipped through the book and looked at what scenes would be good to explain. Then I printed pictures that related to the scenes, and wrote a few things about what had happened, and then I explained a little bit more to my class mates. I didn't really learn anything new, just kind of reviewed what we had read in class.

What I Do to Stay Sane

I live to laugh and have fun. If I couldn't laugh all day I would be so depressed. I usually laugh over stupid things with Tess. Also if I couldn't make faces at my close friends like Tess, Lily, Lisa, Shelby, and Kayla my life would be so boring. I don't know what I would do without them! Also, usually if I'm not around them, I look so bored and just not in a good mood. Plus I need to complain about things to my friends.

In the bottom right picture, me and Shelby decided to be the weirdos at Walmart. We found a kids cart with the seats. We took turns pushing each other around the store, making faces at people (insert laughing emoji). 

Why I Don't Like Smoking

My parents smoke. I don't like it for so many reasons. Number one, it causes sickness such as cancer. When I was younger, I don't remember what age, my dad was diagnosed with cancer. Thank God the doctors caught it early, and cut half of his kidney out.   Number two, it cost so much money every year. My mom spends about $50 a week on cigarettes.  Finally number three, it smells. I am judged all the time because I smell like smoke. I will be at school and the kids around me can smell the smoke, and sometimes they say "someone smells like smoke." I really hate that, because I'm judged enough already. Smoking can also be addicting. My dad quit for about 5 years! Eventually he started back because of stress at work. He is trying to quit again, hopefully soon.

God's Plans for You

My favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
I do believe that God has a plan for everyone. Everything that happens happens for a reason. Somethings might seem bad, but in the end it leads to something great. Keep your head up, because God is using you in his plan.

What I Learned Today in English-The Outsiders

Today in English class we took notes over the Outsiders. I learned that the protagonist does not have to be the "good guy". Most of the time the protagonist is the "good guy", but not always. The protagonist is the character that has a goal with an obstacle in the way. I also learned that the dynamic character only changes mentally, not physically.

For this school year I would like to make all A's and B’s. I want to be nicer, even though I am already pretty nice. I want to make more friends. I want to become closer to my family. I also want to become closer to God.
